The Model

Morning Learn. Afternoon Build.

LincolnWorks is a for-profit workforce company. Apprentices work in our portfolio of companies and with local business partners—learning AI-powered tools and modern tech by doing real work.

AM

Morning Workshops

9am - 12pm

AI-powered learning sessions led by experienced practitioners. Each workshop focuses on a specific skill or concept. You learn with AI tutors, see examples, and do hands-on exercises. Topics range from programming with AI assistants to system design to professional practices.

PM

Afternoon Projects

1pm - 5pm

You apply what you learned to real work in our portfolio companies or with local business partners. These aren't toy exercises—they're actual products for real customers. You build things that ship. You create value that generates revenue.

Real Work

Projects That Ship

The afternoon project work is where the real learning happens. These aren't tutorial exercises or classroom assignments.

Our Portfolio Companies

Work inside tech businesses we own and operate

Local Business Partners

Software and services for regional employers

Corporate Training

Workforce education for partner companies

Spinout Ventures

New companies incubated from apprentice innovation

Every project ships. Every apprentice creates real value. When you graduate, you have a portfolio of work and connections to employers who've seen you perform.

Who Teaches

Managers, Not Professors

We call our instructors "managers" because that's what they are. They manage your learning. They manage projects. They do the work alongside you.

Managers are practitioners—engineers, designers, data scientists who have shipped products and led teams. They're not career academics. They teach what they do, and they continue doing it.

Each apprentice works closely with a manager who guides their progress, reviews their work, and helps them grow. This isn't a lecture hall with hundreds of students. It's a small team working together.

After the Program

When you complete the apprenticeship, you have options:

1

Some apprentices become full employees

2

Find Your Own Path

Your portfolio and skills speak for themselves

The goal is employment. Not just any job—a good job doing meaningful work with the skills to grow.
